Home Rigs Antenna Files The Shack Rig Accessories Test Equipment Portable Operating Miscellaneous My Beliefs Links	Field Strength Meter  This was a complete "junk box" project.  As I do more antenna experimenting, I find the need for a field strength meter.  The circuit is straight out of "Simple Test Equipment for the QRPer" by Graham Firth - G3MFJ and Tony Fishpool - G4WIF.  I only made one change - in true "minimalistic" fashion I left off the panel meter and just provided connections for an external multi-meter.   The circuit is very simple using a schottky diode detector and a PN2222 tranisistor amplifier.   Here is the meter in operation:
